You have some serious questions to answer @EufyOfficial Here is irrefutable proof that my supposedly “private”, “stored locally”, “transmitted only to you” doorbell is streaming to the cloud - without cloud storage enabled. #privacy https://www.youtube.com/...

Ah well, the cats out the bag now... so may as well tell you. You can remotely start a stream and watch @EufyOfficial cameras live using VLC. No authentication, no encryption. Please don't ask for a PoC - I can't release this one. Heads up @TechLinkedYT @LinusTech https://twitter…

So then @EufyOfficial what's going on? Would love to see a statement on this and what the plan is to address it. #HomeKit Secure video looks like it's the way to go with these cameras! https://twitter.com/...

Why would a company owned by Chineese firm be slurping data and doing facial recognition... can't imagine why...... nope no idea..... https://twitter.com/...

Just had a lengthy discussion with @EufyOfficial's legal department. It's appropriate at this stage to give them time to investigate and take appropriate action; conversely, it's not right for me to comment further. I will provide an update, as & when possible. Thanks!

Update: An official response from @EufyOfficial Paraphrasing... “You're right, we do send to the cloud but it's password protected, so not publicly visible... but we intend to encrypt API messages so nobody else finds out” Completely & utterly missed the point. https://twitter.co…
