FTX is neither Enron nor Lehman. It's MF Global. If there is a party who is responsible for prop trading and who is also able to authorise movement of client funds, you are putting temptation in the way. Funds segregation and front office/back office split are hard won lessons.

This was probably THE hardest significant rug/hack to avoid, even for otherwise-savvy people. During the whole Luna/UST ordeal you could've withdrawn and taken a haircut at any time. Here we went from “rumors about famed exchange spark” to “withdrawals locked” in a week.

1/ I did not have to uninstall any exchange apps from my phone today, because I never installed any exchange apps on my phone (at any time since 2013) Always seemed to have all types of risk vectors to carry around effectively exchange “private keys” on your phone.
