The Delaware Court of Chancery grants Twitter an expedited five-day trial in October in its lawsuit against Elon Musk, who wanted the trial to begin in 2023

The year was 1944.  The world was at war. Jon Fingas / Engadget : Judge grants Twitter expedited trial against Elon Musk Insider : Twitter wins first battle in lawsuit with Musk after judge agrees to move the case forward on an expedited schedule Gizmodo : Twitter Wins Round 1 in Court After Flaming Musk Over His 'Buyer's Remorse' Loren Stephens / ldstephens : Twitter vs Elon Musk in the Delaware Court of Chancery Tweets: Mike Masnick / @mmasnick : Chancellor explained the reasoning, which was more or less repeating Twitter's arguments. More or less ignored all of Musk's. Obviously didn't go into the merits at all, but Musk's arguments here were weak and the Chancellor saw that. Trial date could still move, but... Dustin Moskovitz / @moskov : Wow, I can't believe the judge decided to split Twitter and give half to Elon and half to Parag. Dave Pell / @davepell : Elon wants to add an edit button to legally binding agreements. @cfishman : That didn't take long: Delaware judge sides with Twitter — orders quick trial in lawsuit over Elon Musk trying to pull out of Twitter deal. Twitter wanted Sept trial. Musk wanted to put off suit until Feb 2023. Judge orders trial for Oct. https://www.wsj.com/... https://twitter.com/... Mark Gongloff / @markgongloff : Elon Musk just took another big L, this one in court @liamdenning explained how this is not only a win for Twitter but for, like, humanity https://www.cnbc.com/... https://www.bloomberg.com/... Greg Nibler / @gregnibler : Wait, the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial was 6 weeks long, but the Twitter/Musk trial involving $44 billion, is only 5 days!? https://www.theverge.com/... Kurt Wagner / @kurtwagner8 : I know this is just setting a trial date. But if you're Twitter, I think you have to be feeling good that your arguments are already resonating with the judge. Twitter's motion to expedite and Musk's response both included info on the debate about bots, etc. Kurt Wagner / @kurtwagner8 : So not quite as soon as Twitter had asked for (Sept), but still much sooner than Musk's team requested (Feb) Judge said the longer this drags out, the more likely Twitter will suffer “irreparable harm” Tom Harrington / @cbctom : BREAKING: (AP) — Elon Musk loses fight to delay Twitter trial as judge sets October trial citing “cloud of uncertainty” over company. Jeff Jarvis / @jeffjarvis : Elon better start negotiating an exit. How many billions will it be? https://twitter.com/... @jennifersensiba : @Techmeme I still think it sounds like a court of wizards or something.
