Pretty solid consensus building in EU courts that Analytics - or, on the wording of this ruling, *any* embedded tool that passes knowledge of an IP address to the USA, is illegal under GDPR. https://www.gpdp.it/...

Making it illegal to load content from another website (scripts, YouTube videos, images, ads,etc) unless you ask the user's permission because it shares their IP address with that website is probably not what people expected when the GDPR was announced but was totally predictable…

This is one of the stupidest things the EU has ever done. Sure, there are swaths of IP space that are “residential networks” but a blanket ruling that an IP == an identifiable human is just plain stupid. You'd have to be a moron to accept it. https://twitter.com/...
