Filing: Meta spent $26.8M on Mark Zuckerberg's security in 2021, up 6% from 2020, far above other execs, such as Sundar Pichai ($4.3M) and Jeff Bezos ($1.6M)

The cost of keeping Mark Zuckerberg safe keeps going up for Meta Platforms Inc., far outstripping what similar technology companies with high-profile executives are spending.

In 2020-21, Menlo Park, California, where Meta is headquartered, spent about $19 million on its police department. https://beta.menlopark.org/... https://twitter.com/...

$META shareholders paid $27 mil last year in security costs to protect Zuckerberg & his family. Anyone else think this is nuts? You could hire a team of 10 trained soldiers and pay them $250k/yr each + $250k in expenses and that would only come to $5 mil or ~19% of that.
