Emirates is suspending flights to 9 U.S. cities — Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Miami, Newark, Orlando, San Francisco, and Seattle — indefinitely due to the 5G rollout. h/t @AirlineFlyer https://www.emirates.com/... https://twitter.com/...

    1) the Federal gov sold this spectrum license 2) The FCC says it is safe 3) The FAA says it is not 4) 40 countries have rolled out 5G 5) The Feds have had 2 years to sort this out, yet it boils over at the planned launch https://twitter.com/...

Why do we even need #5G within 2 miles of major metropolitan airports when vast portions of the country still lack broadband access?? https://twitter.com/...

Well this just got serious. Emirates is canceling nearly all its flights to the US through the end of the month over 5G deployment concerns. Only flights to JFK, IAD & LAX will continue. Everything else from SEA to ATL has been scrubbed. https://www.emirates.com/...

The #cband interference issue show how ineffective & messy #spectrum clearing in the US is & everybody wonders why US #5G deployments lagging behind China .. https://www.wsj.com/... @FCC @FAANews $VZ $T

There is no doubt this is a colossal screw up by the FAA, and less so, the FCC. The 5G rollout and the bands being bid on we're not a surprise. https://www.reuters.com/...
