A look at Android 12's rollout, one of the buggiest launches in the past few years, as Samsung and OnePlus pause their stable Android 12-based updates

and is dragging its feet at fixing the problem. How are owners *still* waiting for the update? Good report from @allisonjo1 here https://twitter.com/...

My Pixel 6 Pro has slowly gotten so buggy since launch in October that I can no longer recommend it at $900. Combined with the latest botched update it's just been a bad experience. My SIM is back in an S21 Ultra til the next review.

I took a look at what the heck is going on with the buggy Android 12 rollout with some help from @MishaalRahman ! It's a big, ambitious update that's causing some major headaches https://www.theverge.com/...

Blows my mind that this tweet has gone without any direct response from @madebygoogle or @rosterloh besides the usual customer service responses in the replies. https://twitter.com/...

Android needs a full year of only fixes and improvements. Maybe it's too late for Android 13, but that's what Android 14 should be: a no-feature, bug-squashing release. https://twitter.com/...

This has to be a bad unit... I got back from CES a couple days ago and my Pixel 6 Pro was nothing but a workhorse. - all day battery. - tons of photos and video taken. - great connectivity (both wifi and 5G). - only 2 crashes. - I do have the December update + Canadian unit. http…

Google has managed to tarnish the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro early in their cycle thanks to the buggier-than-normal version of Android that shipped on them — and is dragging its feet at fixing the problem. How are owners *still* waiting for the update? Good report from @allisonjo1 here ht…

I hate that I agree with this, but my Pixel 6 Pro experience has gotten increasingly infuriating since launch. It's at the point where I'm considering trading in my 6 Pro for the S22 Ultra, which I wasn't planning to do since I'm getting the S22 Ultra anyway. Kinda sad honestly h…

I'm not entirely surprised by this. I figured the migration to its own SoC would be a bit messy. Perhaps in time, but I don't see the Pixel 6 winning against the S21 in the near future. The @Snapdragon heritage still best for premium #android devices. $GOOG https://twitter.com/..…

stuff like this Android 12 situation on the Pixel 6 is part of what puts me off switching away from iPhone. I'm always tempted by Android, and then end up stuck in Apple's walled garden https://twitter.com/...

Weird! I have an absolutely smooth experience. No problems at all and still by far the best phone I've ever had! https://twitter.com/...
