Everything from incorporation … Sumukh Sridhara / AngelList Venture : Introducing: AngelList Stack Tweets: Angel List / @angellist : Announcing: AngelList Stack Effortlessly create a fundraising-ready startup. We've already made it simple to start & manage a fund. Now, we are doing the same for startups. Includes: Incorporation, Banking, Equity Management, Fundraising, and Hiring. https://angellist.com/stack Alex Johnson / @alexh_johnson : The future of fintech probably looks something like this: A company that knows a particular customer segment better than most adding bank and non-bank products to its stack in order to 100% solve the target customer's problem while strengthening the value of its overall network. https://twitter.com/... Natasha / @nmasc_ : AngelList Stack is ambitious. It wants to take some of the mundane and arcane processes of starting a company, and make it simpler. It includes end-to-end incorporation, business banking, advisor equity grants and cap table management. https://techcrunch.com/... Nick Abouzeid / @nickabouzeid : AngelList just launched 9 companies at once https://twitter.com/... Rob Lalka / @roblalka : The @TechCrunch coverage is right. This will compete with @cartainc. But, if successful, it also changes dynamics for banks seeking to lock in accounts for new ventures, lawyers' long hours on deal docs, and much more. https://techcrunch.com/... So...this could be big. Stay tuned. Alan Bradburne / @alanb : US: https://www.angellist.com/stack Japan: $1,500 incorporation fee, $10,000 (minimum recommended) paid-up capital, stamp dozens of documents, 5 meetings with bank over 2 months to be approved to open an account, countless trips to city hall. We have some ways to go. Natasha / @nmasc_ : As I hint at in the hed, AngelList tried to bring founders into its universe when it first launched through a marketplace that would connect them to angels. @avlok tells me they're avoiding the fundraising marketplace route altogether this time around https://techcrunch.com/... Pomp / @apompliano : The entire private market is going to be on AngelList. https://twitter.com/... @_damarioj : Jamaican entrepreneurs should really check this out. One time fee of $500 USD includes incorporation of the business, bank account in the US, possibly getting investment on AngelList, soo much more https://twitter.com/... Jessica Verrilli / @jess : Turning legal & business process —> product. Love this from @AngelList. https://twitter.com/... Shane Mac / @shanemac : Wow. Just wow. I thought a bank was the closest to the customer, the furthest up the stack. But it's really the formation docs. With an automatic bank. Damn. Angellist. https://twitter.com/... @thisiskp_ : Really hard to find a startup that's been shipping new products at this velocity to help other startups Just mind blowing 🤯 Excited for the @AngelList team https://twitter.com/... Natasha / @nmasc_ : New: I wrote about @AngelList Stack, AngelList's latest and not-so-subtle move to become an end-to-end tech stack for anyone starting a fund or a startup https://techcrunch.com/... Sumit / @sugupta : I started my first startup almost 20 years back reading @venturehacks and @naval. I will be starting my 4th company on @AngelList stack this week! Few realize how much of a game changer it is! https://twitter.com/... Ben Werdmuller / @benwerd : This seems like a major competitor to Stripe Atlas, and then some. Super-interesting. https://www.angellist.com/stack Natasha / @nmasc_ : Finally, the Carta dynamic here is fascinating. Chatting it through with @DannyCrichton, it's clear that both startups are blending in their vision on what makes the venture and startup business scale. https://techcrunch.com/... https://twitter.com/... Clement Cazalot / @clementc : It's that simple. @AngelList is the future of our entire tech ecosystem. They automate all the seed stage. We used their SPV management (RUV) for our last round @MachineryMP and this was AMAZING!! You would be a fool not to look into it https://twitter.com/... @semil : um... holy smokes. Wow! I had no idea this was coming.... https://twitter.com/... Jonathan Abrams / @abrams : Hard to believe it's been 13 years since I invested in AngelList, but amazing to see them continue to innovate: “AngelList returns to its founder-focused roots, with a twist” https://techcrunch.com/...
Context & Ripple Effects
AngelList Stack extends what had been a set of adjacent financial products into a single operating layer for founders. AngelList already ran its investing side as separate Venture, Talent and India entities after years of evolution from an angel marketplace, and its Rolling Venture Fund product had turned it into infrastructure for micro-fund managers and solo capitalists.
Stack closes the loop on the other side of the table: instead of meeting founders only when they raise or hire, AngelList now touches the company at incorporation, adding banking, equity management, fundraising and hiring to the same account.
First-order effects
- Founders can now form a company, open banking, manage the cap table and run fundraising and hiring inside AngelList rather than stitching together separate legal, bank and equity vendors.
- AngelList captures the company relationship at day zero, making its existing fundraising and venture products the default path for every firm created on Stack.
Second-order effects
- The bundled model pressures standalone incorporation, banking and cap-table vendors, whose services AngelList now gives away as features inside a free-to-start workflow.
- Owning the cap table from formation positions AngelList's equity data as the substrate for downstream ideas like mirroring cap tables on-chain, which the related coverage frames as a way to streamline angel investing.
Third-order effects
- If the pattern holds, startup formation consolidates around platforms that bundle the back office with capital access, shifting switching costs from software features to where a company was incorporated and who holds its records.
- Lower-formation-friction platforms widen the funnel beyond incumbent hubs, reinforcing the dispersion the related coverage tracks in scenes like New York's growing VC market.
The trend: Startup back-office tooling is consolidating into all-in-one platforms that own the founder relationship from incorporation through fundraising.
