.@SALON EXCLUSIVE: According to the hacker of Jason Miller's new right-wing social media site “Gettr,” the site remains highly compromised with an “API server bug.” This morning, the hacker shared with me all of my personal information, which I inputted when making an account.

This is an interesting case study in software development. Miller seems to have developed a perfectly functional social media app without a lot of histrionics about finding “the best of the best of the best” software developers that companies talk about.... https://twitter.com/..…

At this point I don't know wether to laugh at this or cry at the lack of consideration for user privacy and safety. https://twitter.com/...

This is why I warn about making accounts on these new far-right sites. Their security sucks. Even if they don't get hacked (they will) you are giving over your personal information to some very shady people. Stay safe out there. https://twitter.com/...

But the problem is that when the rubber hits the road, software systems are really hard to design well, and things like security and scalability are of extreme importance, and you can't build super robust systems with mediocre, unengaged talent

.⁦@admford⁩ just turned me on to Trump's new social media company and we're wondering if anyone wants to provide and free, surreptitious security testing for them https://gettr.com/
