I'm so grateful to the Senate for my confirmation. Congress created the FTC to safeguard fair competition and protect consumers, workers, and honest businesses from unfair & deceptive practices. I look forward to upholding this mission with vigor and serving the American public.

Lina Khan as FTC chair would set a tough agenda for tech. Her career has been meteoric w/ her breakthrough antitrust paper on Amazon and then helping lead the House's antitrust investigation that found Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google were monopolists It's a BFD

Future (potential) head of the FTC: “Amazon sells at a loss as investors pour money in'. Amazon hadn't raised money from investors since 1997 and had positive cashflow since 2002. I presume her thinking has advanced since then.

There are so many important things about Commissioner Khan's(!) nomination, and this may seem pretty small, but the fact that an FTC commissioner is explicitly talking about using UDAP to protect “workers” is extremely important. https://twitter.com/...
