The Dysonics filing extends a familiar Google playbook: rather than announcing deals, it files them and absorbs the team — as with the quiet purchase of UK sound-tech startup Redux in early 2018, whose display-as-speaker technology likewise surfaced only through filings. Dysonics' destination is telling: its people landed on audio *hardware*, not software.

That placement connects to a decade-long spatial-audio thread running from the Cardboard positional-audio tools through the open-source Resonance Audio SDK, and forward to Project Caviar, Google's later effort to ship royalty-free HDR video and 3D audio formats. Owning both the codec ambitions and the in-house talent to render them is what makes this small deal worth tracking.
