Street View contribution has been gated by hardware since Google's 2017 contributor program launched around the $3,499 Insta360 Pro 8K camera. This update drops that floor to any ARCore-compatible Android phone, opening the pipeline in Toronto, New York, Austin, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Costa Rica.
