FYI: Garmin's entire server app business which is at the core of its service proposition has been down for at least 2 days straight now heading toward 3, apparently a ransom attack. https://twitter.com/...

Is there anything besides rumors to support this was WastedLocker? Most victims were US based according to Symantec's report on the ransomware a month ago. Seems like it originated (or at least first reported) in Taiwan https://www.zdnet.com/...

This has now been going on for over 24hrs and there's still very little info. Deeply worrying, especially the aviation angle, and perhaps a canary in the coal mine for other companies https://www.zdnet.com/...

Ransomware shuts down Garmin: https://www.zdnet.com/... Evil Corp's new WastedLocker strain is likely to blame. I wouldn't be surprised to see a ransom demand of at least $2-3 million in bitcoin.
