1/ “discounts, as well as Disney's marked-down streaming bundle, pushed the average monthly revenue per paid subscriber for Disney+ down to $5.56 during the fiscal first quarter. The bundle pushed ARPU lower for both Hulu and ESPN+” https://news.google.com/...

It took Disney three months to cross 28 million streaming subscribers. It took Netflix two years — or five years (if you count the time before a stand-alone streaming plan was offered). https://www.wsj.com/...

I subscribe to Disney+ and Hulu's SVOD. According to Disney, I am two subscribers—which is fine since I pay the full monthly price for both!—but, it's still something to keep in mind if, say, someone wanted to compare it to Netflix's subscriber numbers. https://www.wsj.com/...

How big is Disney+? Bigger than analysts thought, and bigger than Disney expected. More importantly, however: how is it helping drive revenue to Hulu and ESPN+? Both saw huge subscriber increases, with ESPN+ jumping about five million and Hulu jumping about eight million. https:/…

Disney+ reached these numbers based on a huge back catalog, the Simpsons (in poor aspect ratio), and the Mandalorian. Absurd numbers, and their real shows haven't kicked off yet. Back in June, original Disney estimates were 30 million by *2024*. https://twitter.com/...
