Sources: Google staff are having a fiery debate on a mailing list about banning a Hong Kong protest game from Play; the issue also came up at an all hands
Google employees have set off a fiery company-wide debate in recent days by posting messages of solidarity with Hong Kong protesters in mailing lists and message boards visible to Google's roughly 100,000 employees. https://www.vox.com/...
Recall that every time in the past two years Googlers have walked out, or credibly threatened to, you got immediate concessions. Hang a banner on the outside of the Googleplex. Do literally anything visible to the public.
My plea to Googlers is: move this debate from internal meme boards to where it is physically outdoors. Let people, including people in Hong Kong, see you fighting for them. They would march for you. https://twitter.com/...
