Just announced: “Educational pop-up windows will appear” on Facebook and Instagram “when a user searches for vaccine-related content, visits vaccine-related Facebook groups and pages, or taps a vaccine-related hashtag on Instagram” https://www.cnn.com/...

A good step, but at last check, all of the really horrible misinformation FB sites are still there. Even worse @amazon. Until social media/e-commerce make substantive changes in content, children will be denied MMR vaccine, teenagers their cancer vaccine https://www.cnn.com/...
  • @erinbiba Erin Biba on x
This is very good!!! But also it's bad that Facebook is still letting people post anti-vax rheortic and “see posts anyway.” https://www.cnn.com/...

“The World Health Organization & Facebook have been in discussions for several months to ensure people will be able to access authoritative #information on #vaccines & reduce the spread of inaccuracies,” @WHO Director-General @DrTedros https://edition.cnn.com/...
