Light spent four years building toward this moment: a $25M raise in 2015 premised on putting DSLR-quality imaging inside phones, the $1,299 16-lens L16 as proof of concept, then a $121M Series D led by SoftBank's Vision Fund explicitly aimed at moving the tech into smartphones and self-driving cars.
