The takedown closes a line that runs back through earlier enforcement-relevant moments: Lizard Squad's Lizard Stresser service ran on thousands of hacked home routers, showing how cheaply attack capacity could be assembled, and the 2016 breach of vDOS exposed its customer lists — a template for what happens to buyers after a platform falls.
