Docker Enterprise Edition 2.0 launches with new features that make it easier to securely embrace Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools

Enterprise Edition 2.0 is the productization of that bet — wrapping the orchestration choice in the security and management layer enterprises actually buy.

The security angle has history here: Docker and CoreOS traded container-security launches back in 2015 [[a:836290]], and the same players later agreed on common standards under the Linux Foundation-backed Open Container Project [[a:830420]]. With the runtime standardized, the defensible surface has moved up-stack to exactly what this release emphasizes.
