Yesterday, 20 mins in: “Who is in charge of AI? Right now it's been John Giannandrea... it sort of feels like the writings on the wall there. That he will probably not be there for very much longer.” Didn't expect “very much longer” to be a few hours... https://www.youtube.com/..…

“Aman Subramanya brings a wealth of experience to Apple, having most recently served as CVP of AI at Microsoft, and previously spent 16 years at Google, where he was head of engineering for Google's Gemini” this is burying the lede. he joined Microsoft AI FOUR MONTHS AGO 🤯 [image…

Speaks volumes that they needed to do a newsroom post for this with the departure and not the hire as the headline. https://www.apple.com/...

Three takeaways from the news...1.  The new Siri is likely on track for a spring release... 2.  He most likely was asked to retire...3.  They want more from AI.  The new head of Apple AI, Amar Subramanya most recently was a VP of AI at Microsoft, and previously at Google for 16 y…

Goody, a Microsoft executive in charge of apple AI.  Pardon me while I don't buy any new products from apple.  Signed, a former Apple shareholder.

Hmmm, the new AI guy at Apple spent 16 YEARS at Google, then four MONTHS at Microsoft, and now off to Cupertino?
