The EU Parliament backs a report that sets a 16+ age limit for accessing social media without parental consent and holds CEOs personally liable for violations

    The European Parliament m voted in favor of banning social media for people under the age of 16.  —  483 MEPs voted in favor while 92 voted against.  If it becomes law, people will likely have to use IDs to log into their profiles, making anonymous accounts impossible.
