The @browsercompany just signed a merger agreement to be acquired. We will remain independent. Our focus is Dia. I've written and rewritten this post more times than I'd like to admit, but what I keep coming back to is simple: the work continues, and we're grateful for this [vide…

Working with @joshm @hursh on the earliest phases of Browser Company was one of the highlights of my time on incubations at Thrive. From the very start the vision was clear: build a better way to use the web, and I'm excited to see them continue to with new reach & resources.

Couldn't be more psyched to welcome @joshm & @hursh and the entire, wonderful @browsercompany team to @Atlassian. With @diabrowser, we're going to collectively re-design the browser to help knowledge workers kick ass in the AI era. It's a mission. A joint mission. A huge

The world needs a browser optimized for intelligent workflows + collab across the apps we use daily, outfitted for teams, and a browser that knows us while preserving model choice (memory can't belong to the LLM). New dream team to make this happen. Congrats @joshm + team 💥

We're joining Atlassian, and I'm deeply grateful. Mike and team truly understand what we're building with Dia - our ambition, our values, and why we think it will change how people spend their days at work. We'll take a breath today, then keep going- hire faster, ship faster,

We @nextplayVC had the good fortune of meeting Josh in 2020, when @akothari connected us to this “special company”. Little did we know how special the relationship with Josh would become over the next five years, including leading @browsercompany's Series A in 2021. Now, with

I can see AI-based browsers be viable in a work/enterprise environment, but in no way you should be using this at home for your personal browsing [embedded post]

Atlassian buying The Browser Company seems like a strange marriage.  Jira and Día browser have as much in common as bicycles and fish.  —  The pitch is that they'll create an AI browser focused on knowledge workers as opposed to passive consumption of web content.  Interested to …

The Browser Company, maker of Arc and Dia, is being acquired.  Atlassian is paying $610 million for the company, in a big bet that both AI and browsers are key to the future of work.
