that being said i am looking forward to Claude for Chrome helping me do A/B testing with some website experiences that would be a pain in the ass to script due to their generative nature will need hands-on experience before i'd feel comfortable integrating with e-mail etc

https://www.anthropic.com/... 11.2% attack success rate is multiple orders of magnitude too high for AI browsers to be safe enough for mass market usage. [image]

... and now @AnthropicAI themselves are building an experimental “Claude for Chrome” with the same set of risks! They do at least acknowledge the challenges of prompt injection directly in their work on this so far, but it still looks extremely risky https://simonwillison.net/...

We've developed Claude for Chrome, where Claude works directly in your browser and takes actions on your behalf. We're releasing it at first as a research preview to 1,000 users, so we can gather real-world insights on how it's used. [video]

Browser use brings several safety challenges—most notably “prompt injection”, where malicious actors hide instructions to trick Claude into harmful actions. We already have safety measures in place, but this pilot will help us improve them. Read more: https://anthropic.com/...

Big shot at Dia and Comet. When an AI browser is just a chrome plugin away.

This product is pretty magical. Still in a experimental stage but we're nearing the moment where computer use models suddenly start working and are able to check off your todo list for you in the background. Will film some demos and post them! Let me know what you want to see.

it's insane 11.2% chance of someone emptying your bank account with a prompt injection this needs to be like 0% [image]
