From capturing real-world physics - like the noise and movement of water, or the look and sound of walking in snow - to lip syncing, Veo 3 is great at understanding what you want. You can tell a short story in your prompt, and the model gives you back a clip that brings it to [vi…

With Veo 3 and Flow out in the world, here's a few examples of videos I've created with Veo 3. The first video is an example of the incredible voice/audio capabilities. The second one is a test of doing a longer form video (edited in Premiere). Generated with Veo. [video]

Veo 3 is truly mindblowing, though every step forward for AI models and half-jokes about “entire batch of startups getting killed overnight” make it clearer that giant incumbents are becoming more entrenched. World is cascading towards centralization and all the efficiencies but

Imagen 4 actually looks so good. I'm not sure Google is doing it justice by launching it together with Veo 3, Deep Think, Gemini Ultra, Flow, Mariner, Jules and all the other stuff at I/O. wdyt @lulumeservey of bundled launches? imo if Imagen 4 had been released standalone with […

VEO 3 initial impressions: Audio is goated, sounds great, it's intelligent fits the video. So much fun to mess with! Great motion and detail quality, follows prompts well enough but not a massive leap over Veo 2 in that regard. References work pretty well, about as good as other …

It's notable the sheer number of replies to the effect of ‘hollywood is cooked’. If this is trained on copyrighted films, Google can't argue they don't know it competes with them. It's the immediate, obvious conclusion, arrived at by everyone. Suspect lawsuits are coming.

Both Microsoft and GitHub announced support for a coding agent that you can assign a pull request and it goes off and sorts it (or at least tries). Microsoft: this is within Copilot. Google: called Jules (uses GitHub) Feels like Big Tech eating coding startups' lunch already.
  • @gergelyorosz Gergely Orosz on x
There are startups that do something similar (most notably: Devin) but both Microsoft and Google threw a lot of tooling (to eg “steer” the agent into the right direction) at this already. Plus, the cost of this will now be... free or very cheap It's a race to the bottom for now

jules is a new async coding agent from Google. Enjoying how the homepage leans into joy: pixel art, punchy colors, hobbies like biking and ping pong. Curious to see what else Google announces this week (and if other AI IDEs adopt similar messaging). [image]
