Stripe announces an AI foundation model for payments, plans for stablecoin-powered accounts, a new Orchestration offering, a recent Nvidia migration, and more

Fintech giant Stripe announced Wednesday a slew of new product launches at its annual Stripe Sessions user event.

Stripe has been broadening from a payments processor into a more modular financial platform: it previously made some products available to businesses using other payment providers through a more provider-agnostic product approach and connected transaction data to customers’ data warehouses.

The stablecoin-account plan follows a recently outlined stablecoin payments test built on Bridge technology. The latest releases combine that payments expansion with a purpose-built AI layer and infrastructure changes.
