CoreWeave went public today at $40/share, a ~$23B valuation. It was 20%+ lower than initially guided range & took NVIDIA to anchor IPO for it to close per CEO. Some notes: · $1.9B in revenue in 2024 (up >100x from 2022) · 62% of Revenue from Microsoft, 15% from NVIDIA · 32 p…

Some are calling the CoreWeave IPO a flop because it didn't pop—but at a $23B FDV, it feels like a success? (for now) The company's story is volatile: - Pivoted from Ethereum mining to renting GPUs at scale in 2019 - 77% of 2024 revenue from just two customers - Microsoft + Nvidi…

When public investors go early: I learned Coatue backed Corewave's Series C with strong downside protection. If 20-day VWAP of $CRWV is below *$68* after 2 years, they can ask Coreweave to pay back the $1.2 bln investment. Corewave closed its first trading day at IPO price $40 [i…

CoreWeave IPO priced at $40 and its first day of trading closed at...$40! Has this ever happened before? No one will write this headline, but this is actually one of the best priced IPO ever CoreWeave left no money on the table, not a single cent $CRWV

Ah, startup momentum optics vs financial engineering: CoreWeave opened trading just above its Series C price ~a year ago. What wasn't in the press release though was that those investors (the biggest are Coatue and Magnetar) can force a share repurchase from CRWV

Every time there's a big pop after an IPO, you get people out there talking about how the IPO process is broken. They left money on the table! So I guess CoreWeave, by this measure is, a success? The company actually took money off the table.

The negative sentiment around the CoreWeave IPO is largely misplaced, in my opinion. 1) Demand for compute is growing. We're seeing exponential growth driven by more complex reasoning models that require 100x more compute than traditional LLMs, surging interest in generative
