I'm actually surprised that Claude Code didn't launch as a VS Code plugin. The terminal interface is pretty gnarly. Are there really no front-end devs at Anthropic?!

I can't imagine being a coder in 2025 and not using Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or something similar. At the bare minimum, using a SOTA model in a gen AI assistant (particularly if enterprise licenses have been hard to procure, I get it).

Cursor blew my mind for about 3 days. Then it started getting confused as my codebase got larger. I switched to Windsurf 20 mins ago. It handled the larger codebase easily. Since they're both VS Code forks, the learning curve was zero. These tools are amazing but they have zero
