Microsoft is out with a huge bit of quantum news - their new Majorana 1 chip is a big deal as long as it does what the company claims it can do... Not to be a pessimist, but they have been wrong in the past about Quantum things [image]

Microsoft's quantum breakthrough with Majorana 1—decades shrunk to years for a million qubits? This timeline acceleration is absolutely wild 👀https://x.com/...

    5. There is an onboard controller on the chip (green, to right) allowing for easy I/O. Microsoft expects ~1000 logical qubits on one chip (gold center) without changing form factor of the Majorana 1 module. Onboard wiring included! [image]
