Earlier in 2016, Leap Motion showed its Orion sensor and tracking system built for VR headsets; this demo extends that work from tethered desktop rigs to Samsung's Gear VR, the mobile headset already in consumers' hands. The move positions hand tracking as an alternative to the controller-first input model Oculus set up with its Touch motion-controllers preview the year before.
