The problem isn't X. It's Elon Musk: he invited the far-right back to Twitter, he's allowing them to incite rioting on here, and he's joining in himself. The authorities don't need to look at social media regulation. They should look to the man himself. https://inews.co.uk/... [i…

Pass a short Bill closing Twitter down in the U.K. @Keir_Starmer? There is more than enough reason to do so. One of the richest men in the world is using his platform to cause serious harm - putting lives & communities at risk. @YvetteCooperMP @lisanandy

Experience tracking internet censorship worldwide tells us that banning platforms like @X isn't the way to go. Limiting dialogue fuels conflict. Moreover, such calls cause untold harm to other countries where filternets are used daily to mask human rights violations at scale.

Posting on Twitter since the Musk takeover often feels like you're dipping your hands in filth, and his recent interventions in support of race war have only reinforced this feeling. But I don't think heading to other networks is the right answer. /1

Like Murdoch, Musk is not a fit and proper person to own and control a major media platform. He is monetising disinformation and destabilising democracies in the process. There has to be consequences. https://www.ft.com/...

That is because ‘X’ itself is a threat to national security.
