AMD’s Zen 5 rollout spans two distinct client-PC tracks: the laptop-focused Ryzen AI 300 family and Ryzen 9000 desktops. The desktop range had already been outlined as a four-chip Zen 5 lineup, while AMD separately introduced two Ryzen AI 300 mobile chips with 50 TOPS NPUs.

The shared architecture makes this more than separate product announcements: AMD is using one CPU-generation transition to address conventional desktop upgrades and AI-oriented laptop designs. Subsequent coverage of the HX 370 emphasized its combined Zen 5 CPU, RDNA 3.5 graphics and XDNA 2 NPU design.
