I definitely wouldn't say Apple sherlocked 1Password, Lastpass, or others with its new Passwords app. It's basically exactly the same as what was there before, just not buried the Settings app. In iOS 17 it already stored your passwords, suggested passwords, notified you of

Putting all your passwords in the hands of Apple is not just a bad idea for security, but for your ability to consider other platforms. @1password has a wonderful Linux client, it works great on Android. It made my Apple exit much easier. Don't lock yourself in further.
