FIT21 passes the House 279 - 136 🎉 House Democrats voting in favor of this bill: 71. That is a *huge* number of elected Democrats voting “no confidence” in the current SEC, and sending a message to the Biden administration that “anti-crypto” is a losing platform this year. [image…

Imagine trying to tell someone a month ago 71 Dems would vote for this. It goes to show, when you don't write people off, when you engage, and educate, the voice of “we the people” can be heard. And neutral technology that is good for America can be embraced by both sides!

We need high quality art, of Warren and Pelosi in a cage match and this moment is just Pelosi leaping down from the top rope to finish Warren. With her vote it's clear you'll see senior Dems in the senate get on board too. Warren's stranglehold is done.

Is FIT perfect? No. Absolutely not. In fact, I'd be ok if it saw some large tweaks moving forward. But the big win here is the bipartisanship and the acknowledgement. That's step one.

Impressive, especially given the strong statement of total opposition from SEC Chair Gensler this am. In most countries, a minister who so ferociously opposed legislation publicly and privately lobbied against it - but still lost 1/3 of his party - would step down from his post.
