It also complicates a longer-running public split: internet users have credited connectivity with educational benefits while expressing moral concerns, and US sentiment on the internet’s social value had softened in earlier polling.

    Usually internet and wellbeing studies focus on WEIRD countries, but this study finds access to the mobile internet was associated with higher wellbeing in the vast majority of cases for over 2.4M people worldwide, a n exception being young women aged 15-24. Not causal, of course
