RIP to Mahbod. A complex, edgy, and at times problematic guy, but also genuinely funny, brilliant, and always unique. Thanks for goading me into beatboxing on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt

My feelings and thoughts are way too complicated to fit in a tweet, and are none of the internet's business anyway. So I'll just say RIP to a guy who changed my life. https://genius.com/...

RIP Mahbod Moghadam. To know him was to love him, hate him, and then love him again. He introduced me to my wife in 2015 by DM'ing her “do you want to be happy in life? date dmitri”. His genius could be overwhelming at times, yet undeniable. May his memory be a blessing.... [imag…

Mahbod was one of the first batchmates I met at YC. I still remember it was at a mixer on Emerson in Palo Alto. He was always so friendly and supportive of what we were working on. Forever grateful and appreciative. RIP 🫡

Terrible news. Mahbod was the biggest personality in S11, the guy that made everyone else question if they were being aggressive enough with their startup. A founder who cleared PG's animal test epically and yet was never anything but kind and encouraging in conversation. My...

Shortly after graduating college with no job prospects, I responded to a Facebook status by Mahbod who was looking for interns at Everipedia. It ultimately led me to LA and the path I'm on today. Forever grateful for him having faith in me and changing the course of my life....

RIP Mahbod. You didn't deserve to go so young. Mahbod had such a bright courageous energy and was never afraid to say inspiring things and joshing others, even at risk of getting in trouble for being too blunt or politically incorrect.

Here's the Rap Genius founder's obituary, fittingly written by his parents on the platform he built to annotate the world. Few could make you feel as special walking into a room as Mahbod with his big grin and crisp dap-ups. https://genius.com/...

Damn, Mahbod Moghadam (founder of Genius) passed away from a brain tumor. Mahbod was clearly brilliant, despite his irreverence. Absent the tumor I think we would have seen a lot more of what he could do. RIP. https://genius.com/...

I took a class at the Stanford Law School my senior year and Mahbod was my TA. He was the most unique TA I ever had - a brilliant person. As he complimented my strong intuitions for the field, he also told me to avoid it like a plague. Funny because at the time I also thought the…

RIP Mahbod. We were YC S11 batchmates, and I think @bradflora, another batchmate, captures it nicely. Mahbod was the biggest personality in the batch and definitely made an impression on me as a 21/22 year old novice founder right out of school.
