I'm not an AI expert, I have a passive interest of late, but if OpenAI had an AGI operating above human levels, I'm not sure that's something they would want to keep, or could have kept under wraps.  Right?  Can smarter peeps than me weigh in?  AI Threads https://www.theguardian.…

The Musk vs OpenAI lawsuit just seems like a way for Musk to spread some misinformation about his AI credentials.  I suspect he is looking for headlines off some of his claims.  Tech Threads

Elon Musk is suing OpenAI for “putting power and profits over humanity.”  I'm sure this has nothing to do with his own competing AI company, xAI, which will surely be 100% altruistic.  And the concern for humanity might be more convincing were he a human being.

Somehow this doesn't feel like it's for the “good of humanity”, it feels like a personal vendetta. If Musk had still been in charge of OpenAI, I don't think he'd have a problem with secrets, trusting himself to be the savior.

Oh boy. https://www.courthousenews.com/ ... This is about to get very interesting and complicated. I'm wondering what kind of actual weight a “founding agreement” has? Surely OpenAI must have known this would happen when it pivoted towards a profit-oriented model.
