A laudable effort by @mbrendan1 to make sense of the various different ideologies clustering around AI development, and a sneak peak of his new philanthropic effort which I'm going to be helping out on. Worth reading!
Brendan is brilliant, and somebody who continues to learn, grow, and now share + teach. His latest endeavor with the Cosmos Institute is refreshingly thoughtful and educational...so different from others' nonsensical hyperbole on important issues. I hope to learn much from...
I resonate with the call for thought! All the more credible coming from a builder and entrepreneur. The pessimistic EAs and the optimistic accelerationists are mirror images of one another and both have made philosophy the intern of technique. Socrates would like a word. RETVRN
