The SEC cannot continue ruling by enforcement. My statement on the Kraken lawsuit below: [image]

USA's top decel is back with another assault on America. The masochists haven't been happy with the beatings they've been taking in NY and are shopping for a different flavor of RegDom in CA. I thought we settled all their concerns for $30m in Feb. Now they're back for seconds?

Message is clear: $30m buys you about 10 months before the SEC comes around to extort you again. Lawyers can do a lot with $30m but the SEC knows that a real fight will likely cost $100m+, and valuable time. If you can't afford it, get your crypto company out of the US warzone.

Today, the SEC filed a complaint alleging that Kraken operates as an unregistered national securities exchange, broker, and clearing house. We disagree with their claims and plan to vigorously defend our position. https://blog.kraken.com/...

1/ The SEC just filed *another* enforcement action against @krakenfx alleging that Kraken is an unregistered broker-dealer (BD), exchange, and clearing agency. Your favorite startup founder turned crypto lawyer read the 90 page compliant so you don't have to. Let's dig in.

Kraken is the exchange I use the most. Partly (mostly) this is bc it's a beautifully designed, simple to use, reliable product. But I also just like the company: https://www.kraken.com/culture The SEC and Gensler are a bunch of regime apparatchiks. Long live Kraken.

One has to feel for the folks at Kraken. They chose to forego a battle with the SEC earlier this year and paid the $30m fine. However, now they have to come up with more funds to fight a legal battle over the new charges. Either that or they settle. Again. As the SEC wants.

This needs to be emphasized. Kraken already paid $30m in SEC extortion this year for having the audacity to offer Americans staking services. This only bought them 10 months. Now the SEC is back for more. How is this mob boss behavior acceptable from US regulators?

in the new SEC filing against Kraken — they list SOL as a security because *checks notes* Toly said that Solana is fast in a blog post.. these are deeply unserious people @GaryGensler you are a disgrace to bald guys everywhere, resign with haste [image]

What the SEC is trying to do with crypto enforcement actions against the likes of Kraken is demoralize an industry into leaving the country. Don't let them. Instead, end the careers of: Sherrod Brown Jon Tester Bob Casey The Dem Senators that enable this corrupt SEC Chair....

The SEC charging Kraken for not registering is a new low. A company that left NY & operates openly & compliantly seems like a reach even for Gensler [image]

Kraken helped us buy and sell crypto for 12 years without fail. The SEC can't even get us a bitcoin ETF. Which one is serving the American people.

Nearly 12 years of operation, no exchange shitcoin, no major hacks/loss of funds, onboarded many Americans to be early adopters of bitcoin making generational wealth. Still targeted by sec on blanket generic securities violations. I feel so protected right now

In a new case against crypto exchange Kraken, the SEC alleges that: 1. Kraken Failed to Register as a National Securities Exchange 2. Kraken Failed to Register as a Broker-Dealer 3. Kraken Failed to Register as a Clearing Agency

Just like clockwork, all these lawsuits, etc. will magically go away roughly at the same time, just when the scheduled bull run is scheduled to begin, sometime next year. They'll claim it was a coincidence.

This complaint against Kraken feels like the same thing as the Coinbase suit to me. Notably, heres another list of digital assets that the SEC is claiming to be securities. There's 16 cryptos explicitly listed here including Solana, Cardano & Algorand. [image]

The @SECGov's lawsuit against @krakenfx today continues to prove this point. Looking forward to watching Kraken and @coinbase deliver more embarrassing losses to the SEC. Keep on fighting the good fight!

@Ruben_Rotterdam @krakenfx What part of don't trust people who comingle customer funds / commit accounting violations is hard to understand? Did the crypto space learn nothing from FTX? No wonder you guys keep losing money to these outfits. Could they produce a clean audit today?…

Apparently, the $30 million the SEC got from Kraken back in February wasn't enough - it had to sue them again, for more. Everyone feel protected, again?
