Spoiler alert: when the 82% owner “resigns,”, it's nothing but a title change/deflection....and meaningless. https://www.irishtimes.com/...

Paddy Cosgrave's events group has a questionable track record on human rights. Events in Qatar and Hong Kong are coming up. Time for some scrutiny.

i think one thing going on here is that cosgrove's sentiments are quite mainstream *in ireland* and that citizens of other english speaking nations didn't quite see where he was coming from https://www.axios.com/...

Some may relish in Paddy Cosgrave's demise. He pissed off a lot of people. However, a bunch of mega companies cancelling someone for saying there should be no war crimes on both sides will have a chilling effect. It's Paddy today. Who next?

Whatever your thoughts on Paddy Cosgrove, we should all be concerned about new McCarthyism. https://www.independent.ie/...

Let's see if there's a backlash against Irish media's bitter failure to give Cosgrave credit for doing some of the most important things you should to do in public life: speaking the truth and standing up for humanitarian law and against war crimes #Gaza. https://www.irishtimes.c…

Exclusive: Web Summit event to proceed despite rash of withdrawals, says CEO. Paddy Cosgrave also tells employees the company has enough money in the bank to stay afloat until 2026 and that he is going nowhere https://www.businesspost.ie/ ...

If the CEO is really independent - the first thing they should do is sell Web Summit after Lisbon next month. A full exit by Paddy Cosgrave is its best chance of survival.

Just recalling a bullying tweet Paddy put out about a journalist in May who has just broke a story about his business. His toxic behaviour has been out in the open for sometime but it hasn't put brands and PR geniuses off working with him.

The Irish Independent is reporting that Paddy Cosgrave has resigned as CEO of the Websummit. Still retains an 80% stake in the business though, so it remains to be seen how mollifying that will be. https://www.independent.ie/...

I'm no fan of Paddy Cosgrave but the backdrop to Tom's weird little boast here is the sheer number of war crimes carried out by Israel. Palestinian children are being slaughtered. But hey Tom, winning a personal feud is far more important eh. Setting the bar lower than you think

This will be a case study in unchecked CEO narcissism jeopardising a company's reputation and putting its entire future at risk. Thoughts with all the good people working at Web Summit. An unfortunate but all too inevitable outcome. https://www.independent.ie/...
