Raspberry Pi 5 launches with a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A76 chip, up to 8GB of RAM, two 4K HDMI ports with HDR, available in October for $60 for a 4GB model

The Raspberry Pi 5 has an entirely new image processing pipeline with improved image quality, and of course makes use of libcamera to expose this new functionality. No compatibility with existing PoE HAT hardware. Moving the CSI / DSI connectors also has issues with case compatibility. The Raspberry Pi 5 is finally here.  It has a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor that runs at 2.4GHz, a boost to graphics performance with an 800MHz VideoCore VII graphics chip, and a single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface.  Full details here: https://www.theverge.com/...
