Microsoft starts rolling out a Windows 11 update that adds the new Windows Copilot and, over the coming months, AI updates to Paint, Snipping Tool, and Photos
This rollout executes Microsoft’s immediately preceding plan to ship an update combining Copilot, AI-enabled creative tools and a redesigned File Explorer, as outlined in its pre-release Windows 11 roadmap.
It also establishes a product pattern that later coverage extends: Windows apps such as Paint and Photos received further generative editing and image-upscaling features, while Copilot moved toward deeper system interaction.
