    #FedNow released today. The pushback against it is crazy to me. Why wouldn't you want them to finishing moving your “money” faster? Did you really enjoy the delays? Rarely do governments make such obvious and useful improvements. Enjoy them when you find them. [image]

    I think we all need to put some money on the table here. My prediction: in 5 years, FedNOW payment volumes will represent less than 10% of RTP's and fewer than 10% of community banks will be connected. I hope I'm wrong!!

    Interested to see if this has the same massive impact to innovation that it has in other countries. Will depend on implementation & if competition drives price to near zero or “regulatory capture” swallows it up (like what kept debit from being disruptive).
