Apple didn't say the word AI a single time during the whole 2 hour+ WWDC presentation. They said “prompts”, “on device machine learning”, “machine learnings models” and “transformer-powered” when describing new AI features. But not AI. Not once. No hype. Just pure product. 🍎

More AI / transformer mentions from Apple at WWDC: - iOS autocorrect has always been ML powered, but Craig mentions keyboard in iOS 17 is now “transformer powered” - iOS dictation is now also “transformer powered” [image]

I am taking notes of this in our liveblog. Apple is purposefully sticking to “machine learning” vs. AI which is definitely a choice https://www.theverge.com/... https://twitter.com/...
