AI optimizes for SEO better than any human writer can. Google's algo loves the stuff. That's the real reason copywriters are being let go. https://www.washingtonpost.com/ ...

When the cost of automation plummets, displacement automation soars as fast as fk. You can quote me on that. We're only seeing the first ripples in a jobs pond hit by a meteor. ChatGPT took their jobs. Now they walk dogs and fix air conditioners. https://www.washingtonpost.com/ .…

Lawl. $60/hr copy writer gets replaced by an LLM w/in months of the tech going live. Yeah, his clients saw little value added and probably smelled a rat. Any creative charging an hourly is likely padding and LLM's will pull the rug out. https://www.washingtonpost.com/ ...

Why is it that when things go digital, basic quality so often declines? (Cell phone calls being the iconic example. Photos too.) https://twitter.com/...

Just one of the reasons #WGA is striking. If you think this won't affect you, you must be a robot already. ChatGPT took their jobs. Now they're dog walkers and HVAC techs. - The Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/ ...

“Now, Fein has decided to pursue a job that AI can't do, and he has enrolled in courses to become an HVAC technician. Next year, he plans to train to become a plumber.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/ ...

Too alarmist: “We're really in a crisis point,” Sarah T. Roberts, assoc. professor at UCLA in digital labor. “#AI is coming for jobs that were supposed to be automation-proof.” #Tech hasn't been that since the Wheel. Grows #Markets & #GDP exponentially. https://www.washingtonpost…

No mention of unconditional basic income in this article. Just a couple examples of people who have already lost their jobs to ChatGPT. It's great to help people better understand the problem, but can we please also explain our options to solve it? https://www.washingtonpost.com/…
