$MSFT CEO is declaring war: “From now on, the [gross margin] of search is going to drop forever...There is such margin in search, which for us is incremental. For Google it's not, they have to defend it all” [@FT]

They already made Google dance like maniacs in enterprise with Azure. The search and ad business is another matter entirely. People forget that Google pivoted to AI when Sundar took over. They are already in the arena and not just dancing. They own it. https://twitter.com/...

Great interview of @Microsoft's @satyanadella by @reckless for @TheVerge My main question coming away from it - is AI integration enough of a killer app to bite into @Google's search lead? And how long until they respond? https://www.theverge.com/...

I don't disagree that AI could beat Google at search. Google's search has been getting worse as they have leaned into more and more paid ads. Search is secondary to paid ads. But how will MS not fall victim to the same business-model-wags-the-product? https://www.theverge.com/...

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Google competing with Bing's new AI. “I hope with our innovation they will definitely want to come out and show that they can dance. I want people to know that we made them dance.” Fascinating interview with @reckless here: https://www.theverge.com/…

the 200 IQ move is @satyanadella / @Microsoft is doing this to make @Google self-own and destroy their own core ad business (as AI possibly conflicts or competes with it), while Microsoft keeps collecting fat checks for pay-to-use services if true, absolutely brutal af tbh https:…
