LG's watch line has been running on two tracks all year: a WebOS-based 'luxury' Urbane LTE that skipped Android Wear entirely, and a standard Android Wear round-display model announced in February that landed in the US in April at $349. That Android Wear version earned a mixed review — more than a day of battery even with the screen always on, but it still needed a phone nearby to be useful.

This announcement collapses the two tracks: an Urbane with built-in LTE makes it the first Android Wear device that can connect to a network on its own, and Google's own follow-up coverage confirms cellular support arriving in Android Wear with the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE. The V10, meanwhile, pushes LG's phone line with a secondary display above the main screen and dual front-facing cameras.
