OpenAI expands its Samsung work to production and research on its next-gen chips, and says Samsung is “one of the largest-scale deployments of ChatGPT globally”

    This could be a consumer on-device chip per Jukan here. It can also be a memory-on-logic 3D stacked server side chip in my view. Samsung is competing hard with TSMC and maybe more likely to take risk. This may also make it easier for OAI to secure HBM / DRAM.
