For the first time, we've given external researchers a way to study AI's impacts using real, privacy-preserved Claude usage data. To date, this work has only been possible within AI labs. We can't tell the whole story alone, so we opened up our tools. https://www.anthropic.com/..…

Definitely not on my bingo card for 2026, but we got to analyze human-AI collaboration patterns from in-the-wild Claude traffic!

So glad the SI team has done this — more researchers need access to how people use AI to understand its real-world impacts!

we keep arguing about whether AI will replace human judgment, but the early data tells a more interesting story in Stanford's study, users still directed the work and the friction often came from clarifying what they actually wanted...not just fixing bad outputs that's a much

This is a great effort but claiming Clio is privacy preserving is DEEPLY misleading.

This is massive transparency! 🔍🚀 The first privacy-preserving independent access to an AI company's real usage data. And a commitment to release each projects' results. Huge credit to the Societal Impact team for this leap in transparency 🎉

Ever since co-founding Anthropic I've been obsessed with the need for third-party measurement of AI systems. (It's in my tweet announcing Anthropic: [link]). Now, we're piloting a way for outside researchers and organizations to study what's happening on AI platforms like Claud…

Enabling privacy-preserving, independently designed analysis of what's happening with AI is a super freaking important-for-the-world thing to do, and yet an equally complex technical/operational challenge — so I am very proud of this incredible achievement of @kunalhanda_

It's such a rare opportunity to study human-AI collaboration at scale, given the constraints around data access and privacy. Huge thanks to @AnthropicAI for making this possible through the Anthropic Insights system, and for their support throughout the project. We started this
