This is an incredible step forward to safely enable science and developers working with hardware. I was lucky enough to see this first hand working in a lab and I see the potential for a true standard in the domain. It's something I truly hope accelerates science.

This is an unbelievably important moment. In the same way that MCP incentivizes vendors to build interpretability with AI systems, MHS will drive hardware towards the same compatibility with AI. We will look back on this as the start of the hardware agent revolution.

The Model Hardware Standard (MHS) from Anthropic is excellent for linking AI agents to physical equipment. This will be very important in wet labs. I suggest other frontier labs create such MHS standards. The next stage in agentic AI is beyond the computer: the physical world.
