Anthropic PBC has hired Amir Salek, a founder of the custom chip program at Alphabet Inc.'s Google, as the AI lab lays the groundwork for a push into making its own semiconductors.

    Just a random thought. Anthropic is so proficient with TPU kernels that I don't see them having an in-house chip that perhaps doesn't resemble TPUs on a micro-arch level. I don't think it is going to be a Google JV thing, but would that be sensible by Ant?
